Accessorize Merged Baked Blusher in Scandal: Review

Hello my pretty  🙂
Ques. What’s one thing without which life would be absolutely boring?
Ans. SCANDALS!!!!
I mean lets be honest…scandals…gossip are something that attract everyone’s attention and I am no different.
So while I was reading the never ending scandals in the newspaper…another scandal was delivered to my doorstep.
No no… don’t get any ideas….I am talking about the Accessorize Merged Baked Blusher in Scandal.

Scandal comes in pan form with a transparent cap with pretty golden butterflies on it. The product itself is of a light coral berry shade that leans towards pink, with bright swirled gold veining. Like most baked products this has a frosty finish but nothing that would look to OTT. No shimmers so no problems wearing it during the day. The texture is a little powder like but it blends really easily.

The shade of the blush comes out to be a little more pinkish then what it looks like in the pan. It gives your face a healthy glow without making you look like a clown. However due to the frosty finish it is advisable to keep a light hand. Pigmentation is decent and the staying power on my oily combination skin is 3-4 hours.

I fell in love with blush as soon as I swatched it. It’s one of my go-to blushes these days as it gives my cheeks that nice pink color with a little bit of sheen that just brightens up my whole face. The shade is absolutely perfect for summers and the absence of shimmer makes it a great option to wear to work.
Staying power could definitely have been a little better considering the price. But then again we don’t get everything in life….do we :P. The beautiful color is worth the effort that goes in touching it up after a few hours.
The shade of the blush is quite versatile and would definitely suit all skin tones. However, it looks like a subtle pink on my medium/ wheatish skin tone, so people who are on the fairer side need to be a little careful while applying it or they might just end up with the clown face. The opposite goes for the people with slightly warmer skin tone then mine…in case you want just a little highlighting one swipe on the cheek bones will suffice but in case you want some color on you cheek you  can build up the pigmentation accordingly.

Final verdict…totally worth investing money in as its the perfect color for summers. I have to admit, I was skeptical about makeup from Accessorize but Scandal has changed my mind completely. I am definitely going to try other products from their range.
Have you tried anything from Accessorize makeup range?
Any suggestions as to what I should by next?
