Aroma Magic Tan Removing Milk Pack: Review

While we are getting a little bit of rain in the capital, summers are nowhere near over so my struggle with tanning continues. I have been using so many anti-tan products lately that I feel by the end of summers, I will a repository of must try products and the ones to skip. The latest product on my testing table is the Aroma Magic Tan Removing Milk Pack. It is a little different from most anti-tan products I have used so I am pretty excited to share my views with you.

Price: Rs 320 for 175 gms.

The Aroma Magic Tan Removing Milk Pack comes in a plastic tub packaging with a pink screw on cap. When I saw the tub, I though like most face packs the product will be inside it but instead I found these cute little pouches that had the face pack powder stored inside neatly. While the pouches are pretty travel friendly, the big tub like outer packaging is definitely a little deceiving and not something you would want to carry around because it just takes too much space.

Once you open the pouches, you find this really granular whitish powder which is the actual product. I think the company tried to use the packaging to remind you milk powder. It doesn’t have any fragrance which is a good thing because I was dreading that the company would try to make it smell like milk which is not a fragrance I am fond of.

Unlike most powder based face packs I have used till date, it takes a lot of effort and time to mix into a paste like consistency. Initially I though there is something wrong with the product or maybe it has expired because the powder just sat on the top of any base I used.  have tried using water, milk, rose-water and even yogurt but you have to work with the powder and mix it rigorously for 5-7 minutes to get a consistency you can apply.

To be honest, when I was struggling with mixing the powder with the liquids I was using the only thought I had in my mind was that “This product better be worth all this effort” and to my surprise it was.  I could see a difference after the first application itself and my face looked brighter.

The best part of using this product is that it leaves your  skin feeling really moisturised and when I say moisturised, I mean the kind of softness you get when you apply a moisturizer. The product does get rid of the normal tan and that is where that “my face looks bright” feeling comes from but it doesn’t work on the more stubborn or layered tan which usually happens on the hands and the rest of the  body.

Overall, I think this product suitable for weekly tan removal efforts. If you have really strong tan then do not expect this to show visible results but it does get rid mild tanning. I love the effect it has on my skin so there is nothing better than mixing this with a little bit of yogurt, applying it and enjoying a relaxed evening after a long hot day. I am a little upset about the packaging but the effect it has on my skin saves the day for this face pack.
