Australis Show Some Cheek Blush in Ablaze: Review & Swatches

I absolutely love how accessible foreign brands have become in India these days. Gone are the days when you had to pay big bucks on shipping or customs to get your hands on some international brands. Once such brand that I was able to try was Australis and the first product I picked up was the Australis Show Some Cheek Blush.

Price: Rs 550 for 5.3 gms.

Australis Show Some Cheek Blush comes in a square black plastic packaging with a transparent lid. The packaging is quite sleek however it is a little bulky. The packaging has two layers, the top layer houses the blush while the bottom layer has space to keep a small brush or sponge and a mirror. The lid is quite sturdy so the blush is easy to travel with and the mirror comes really handy for touch ups on the go.

Product & Texture

The blush is quite finely milled and packed in a compact format with quite a smooth texture. There are fall outs when you try to get the product on a brush but nothing drastic. The light texture ensures that the blush goes on evenly even if you decide to layer. It is not chalky or powdery so you do not face the issue of the product fading off if you blend too much. The product has a matte finish and blends well so there is no patchy finish.

The shade I bought from this range is called Ablaze and it is a beautiful rose pink shade with brown undertones. I absolutely love the shade because it is not the run of the mill Barbie pink, instead it a much cooler version of pink which complements the Indian skin tone.

Pigmentation & Longevity

These blushes are extremely pigmented so a little amount goes a long way. I got quite a scare the first time I tried it on because I ended up looking like a clown but now I have learnt to work with them to get nothing more than a nice flush of color on my cheeks.

Staying power is great and the blush stays on for a good 5 hours. I was quite surprised to see the blush last even on hot days when I was sweating like a pig and it performs much better now that the weather is a bit on the colder side.

My Experience

I had heard a lot of good things about the blush and now that I have used it, I know why. The blush fulfill every claim and it is pretty much a steal at the price it retails at. The quality is great and due to the pigmentation of the product, the tiny pan of the blush would last me at least an year.

Final Verdict

This is the first product I have used and it has left quite an impression. I have used so many other drugstore blushes that are more expensive but fail to deliver the results so I would definitely recommend it. I for one am looking forward to trying more shades from the range and trying other products from this brand.
