BH Cosmetics 28 Color Palette Smokey Eyes Edition:Review, Swatches and EOTD

My first acquaintance  with BH cosmetics was at the time when I used to make a face if anybody uttered the word makeup. It was a 88 shimmer palette and honestly I was more interested in the chocolates than the palette but obviously as my love for makeup grew, this palette became my most prized possession.  Then came the time when I started earning and one of the first purchases I made was during 48 hours offers that keep running on their website and I got two more palette. One of them was BH Cosmetics 28 Color Smokey Eye Palette and I am going to talk about it today.
Price: $11-$22 ( they have sales going on all through out the year so the price keeps varying)
The old 28 Color Smokey Eye Palette had the standard BH Cosmetic packaging with a black case and the logo on the top. However just before I got my palette BH cosmetics revised their packaging and now the palette has a transparent top. I love this packaging because obviously if you own more than one of these palette it would have become to locate the one you want to use. Its a very sturdy packaging and travel friendly.

The size of the eye shadows in this palette is kind of bigger than the usual BH cosmetic palettes. For those who don’t know talking about, well in the 88 shade palettes, the size of each eye shadow is almost of the size of a 50 paise coin ( that almost the size of a penny for my international reader) however these are like the Rs 10 coins (which is equivalent to the size of a quarter).

The palette contains a mix of finishes. It has matte, satin, glitter and shimmer eye shadows. The matte ones are little chalky in texture and low in terms of pigmentation but the rest of them have a very smooth texture and pigmentation is pretty decent. I also love how the palette has almost all colors that you need to create almost any type of smokey eye. You have a variety of plums, pinks, purples, blues, grey,  neutrals and gold. So whether you are planning to create a neutral or a bright or even a dramatic smokey eye….you will find everything you need in this palette.

And here is the look I created using this palette
All in all, I really like the palette. The quality of the eye shadow is really amazing. I don’t think there is any kind of an issue with this palette apart from the availability. For us in India, its only available online on their website but they have these really cool offers running every two to three days so keep a lookout for them.
