Bharat & Dorris Loose Powder : Review

Sorry for being MIA for a while now. I was busy with work at first and then travelling due to work, still am so decided to take a little break. But now I miss my blog a bit to much so I decided I am going to try and post as much as I can and then go back to regular blogging once I am back home. On a festive note, I hope everyone had a great and safe Diwali filled with loads of joy, happiness and of course good food.  Anyways, so I was addicted to my Ben Nye Banana powder till its last grain lasted but like all good things, it came to an end. Since that day I have been trying to find a loose powder that will keep my oily skin in control and that is how I decided to try Bharat & Dorris Loose Powder. I had a lot about the brand but never got around to try it so I had pretty high expectations when I bought it.

Price: Rs 400 for 30 gm.

The Bharat & Dorris Loose Powder comes in a transparent plastic jar with black screw on cap.Once you remove the cap, a little puff greets you under which you have a lid with holes for the product to come out. The puff isn’t really the best medium for application but it works fine for quick touch ups.  I have carried the jar along and have faced no issue with it.

The texture, of the powder is pretty smooth and it quite finely milled so it blends like magic into the skin. It is so light on the skin so the finish is never patchy. The coverage is on the lower side so you do need to wear a heavier base if you want  more coverage. Also, the light texture makes it the perfect option for baking my concealer and it helps my concealer to stay in place for hours.

The powder comes in 5 shades and the shades are pretty aligned with Indian skin tones. I got shade No.7 and it matches my skin tone to the tee. What the powder doesn’t do in the coverage area, it makes up in the oil control zone. The product keeps my skin matte for a good 4-5 hours and gives a little bit of a brightening effect as well.

All in all, I am kind of in love with the texture of this powder and I think it is one of my favorites out of all the loose powders I have tried lately. It blends well leaving my skin looking flawless, absorbs excessive sebum and keeps my t-zone matte for a good amount of time. Highly recommended if you are looking for a decent loose powder that doesn’t break your bank, then this is a good option.
