Chambor Silk Touch Lipstick in Silk Passion and Silk Rose: Review, Swatches and FOTD

Usually when I go out to buy makeup, I am pretty sure of what I wanna get. My friend N finds it super funny that even though I am super crazy about makeup, I still manage to resist looking at the new makeup and just go and buy specific thing…well not that I like doing this but if I don’t practice this kind of self-restrain I might end up spending my whole salary on makeup :p.
On some rare occasions, I do let the shopaholic in me come out and end up buying things I don’t intend to buy in the first place . Usually I regret these days but a months back I went to the NEW U store to buy some nose strips and the shopaholic monster in me decided to take a quick look around and I ended up stumbling upon this really cool offer that was running for Chambor Geneva Silk Touch Lipsticks where you could get 2 lipsticks for around 600 bucks. I obviously picked a set and today I am going to share my thoughts about them with you guys :D.

Price: I paid Rs 645 for 2 lipsticks but the actual retail price of each lipstick is Rs 645…yay!!!

The Silk Touch Lipsticks come in a dark navy blue tube with a silver band and Chambor logo on it.The packaging might not look special but it is quite reliable because you literally have to pull the cap to open the lipstick but I guess its too sturdy because at times I end up even pulling out the silver casing of the tube along with the cap.The bullet of the lipstick has this curved tip which initially made it very difficult for me to apply the lipsticks. Its only after multiple uses that curve become a little flat and I became more comfortable using them.

The two shades that I got were 640- Silk Passion and 611- Silk Rose. Silk Passion is a orange brown shade whereas Silk Rose is a cool toned pink. Out of the two, Silk Passion is definitely my favorite because its the perfect color to wear to work. Silk Rose on the other hand is a little pale but it gives a nice natural color to my lips.

I absolutely fell in love with the texture of these lipsticks. They feel like butter on my lips. They are super creamy and until and unless you have very dry lips, you can absolutely skip the lip balm before lipstick routine. Even though they are creamy, these lipsticks don’t bleed or feather

These  lipsticks are also really pigmented and give you this really pretty glossy finish with a single swipe. Another big surprise about these lipsticks were that even though they have such a creamy texture, they have a decent staying power. They stay on me for almost 4 hours after which they fade leaving behind an even tint.

Let’s take a quick look at the Yays & the Nays
Yays:
  • Sturdy packaging
  • Creamy and smooth texture
  • Do not bleed
  • Do not feather
  • Really pigmented
  • Decent staying power of 4 hrs
Nays:
  • The curvy tip of the bullet makes it difficult to apply the lipstick
Here’s how the lipsticks looks on me ๐Ÿ™‚

Silk Passion
I definitely like these lipsticks and their texture and Silk Passion is like my staple lipstick when it comes to wearing something to work.
