DIY: Lemon Sugar Scrub

Lemon is like my skin’s best buddy. I love how my skin feels every time I apply lemon to it. It makes my skin looks brighter, the tan goes away, acne vanishes and the usual greasy and oily texture of my skin subsides.
One of my favourite ways to use this little yellow ball of magic is with sugar. Lemon gives my skin all the benefits that I just mentioned and sugar helps in getting rid of that dead skin that is the reason behind why at times even after following the CTM routine, applying zillion skin brightening creams and highlighters, the skin still feels dull.
Here’s what you need to have:
A Bowl
Lemon juice-1/2 cup
Sugar- 2 tbsp.
Cotton pads
Here’s what you need to do
  • Mix the sugar with the lemon juice and stir it a bit so that sugar crystals become a little smaller and don’t remain to rough for your skin.
  • Once you see that sugar has dissolved a little, take the cotton pad and soak it in the lemon juice in a way that you get a few sugar crystals on it.
  • Slowly scrub your face with cotton pad moving it in small circular motion. Concentrate on areas like the nose and area near the lips where you usually see skin darkening and those disgusting whiteheads and blackheads. It might sting a little but don’t get worried, its just the lemon working its magic.
I absolutely love this scrub. I  use it every week. Along with the amazing soft skin, it gives me a glow and the best part is that the glow stays for a while. The only word of caution is that in case you sensitive skin, its better that you do a patch test as lemon has a tendency to be a little strong
Do try this scrub and let me know how it worked for you πŸ™‚
