Durga Puja Celebration: Mahasaptami

I did not really get to celebrate Durga Puja family the last time because I had just joined my new job but this time off I made it a point to take some time to enjoy this festival and yesterday was the first day when we went pandal hopping.
We weren’t really able to visit alot of places because it was raining cats and dogs in Delhi and by the time it stopped raining half the day was gone but we still managed to visit Dakshin Delhi Kali Bari, New Delhi Kali Bari and Minto Road. These are actually one of the oldest puja’s in Delhi and the enthusiasm and zeal in the in the atmosphere of these pandal’s is incomparable and the idols are beautiful.

Coming to what I wore today….I kind of kept everything very simple this time as every time I get fancy clothes and don’t really use them after the puja so this time I bought things I could wear on a normal day as well.
Kurti: Biba
Leggings: Sabhayata
Shoes: Catwalk
For makeup I went with a wash of copper on the eyes and then lined them with a black gel liner. On the cheeks I wore a peach blush and for the lips I opted for a peachy pink lipstick.I kind of liked how fresh my face and makeup free my face looks.

Foundation: M.A.C Studio Fix Fluid
Eyes: Copper shade from the Sleek i-divine palette in Sunset, Maybelline Gel Liner in Black
Cheeks: Vivo Cosmetics Blush & Highlight Palette What’s Mine is Mine
Lips: Lotus Herbals Pure Color Lipstick in Carnation
So how did your Saptami go? Did you visit any puja pandals?
