Faces Go Chic Lipstick in Express Mauve: Review, Swatches and FOTD

I am a bit sad that the winter weather is over because winter this time was all about experimenting with different looks and colors particularly darker shades that I feel a little uncomfortable wearing in the hotter months. One shade that I have been attracted to lately is the purple family and even thought the weather has changes my obsession with this color family is far from over so one of my go to lipstick these days is the Faces Go Chic Lipstick in the shade Express Mauve.

Price: Rs 275 for 4 gms.

The Faces Go Chic Lipstick comes in a simple black packaging with a silver band with the name of the brand engraved in it. The only issue with this packaging is that if you have more than one lipstick from this range then it will be difficult to tell the colors apart without reading the label at the bottom or opening the cap

The shade Express Mauve is a beautiful mauve shade with pink undertones.  The color looks a tad darker when you look at the bullet but  it comes of as a nice pink purple in a single swipe but you can build the intensity when you layer it up.

I absolutely love the texture of this lipstick and it just glides on the lips. It is pretty smooth and buttery so applying it is a piece of cake. The pigmentation is good not great so you do have to layer it up a bit but because of the light texture, the lipstick doesn’t feel heavy on the lips and keeps my skin moisturized. It’s super comfortable to wear, doesn’t settle in fine lines and doesn’t bleed.

The staying power is much better for this shade than the other ones I have tried from the range and I think that is because its a darker shade from the range. It stays on for about 2-3 hours but it doesn’t survive meals and does transfer because of the creamy texture.

Overall, go chic is definitely a range I am huge fan considering this is the fourth lipstick from it. I love the color, the texture, the staying power is a little low but I love the shade so I don’t really mind touching up my makeup more than I would have liked.
