Forest Essentials Delicate Facial Cleanser Kashmiri Saffron & Neem: Review

The much-awaited monsoons are here and while I love the weather and smell of wet soil, my skin absolutely detests the humidity. My skin type tends to become a little extra riled up during weather change so obviously I must give it some extra care and what better brand to give some TLC to my skin than Forest Essentials. I recently bought the Forest Essentials Delicate Facial Cleanser Kashmiri Saffron And Neem and like the other Forest Essential products I had bought before, I obviously had alot of expectations from it so read on to find out if I was content with product or did it end up disappointing me.

Price: Rs 1075 for 200 ml

The Forest Essentials Kashmiri Saffron and Neem Facial Cleanser comes in a rectangular plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. The packaging is transparent which is something i like because I know when I need to visit the store next to restock it rather than find out that I am done with it when I am washing my face in the morning. The packaging is pretty simple, light weight and the pump dispenser has a cover and a lock mechanism to prevent leakage so the product definitely has a travel friendly packaging.

The cleanser is a pale yellow gel like liquid with a slightly runny consistency so usually a single pump is more than enough to cover and clean my face and neck. It has a pleasant saffron fragrance which gives it such a luxurious and calming effect.

Coming to my experience with the product, while the product does removes impurities and cleans up my skin but this product doesn’t lather much so I always feel that my skin has not been cleaned thoroughly. It removes any makeup that is left on my skin after I am done with my cleansing and gives me oil control for an hour or so but it is a little too mild for my oily-combination skin. The cleanser doesn’t leave any sticky feeling rather my skin feels soft and moisturized after I have used the cleanser.

Overall, I would say that I like the product but I don’t think it would give me the results I want during the hot and humid months. The cleanser does what it claims and cleans my skin well but as my skin has a confused a.k.a combination skin type, for most part of the year I usually need something a bit stronger. A good choice for winters when it comes to oily skin but if you have normal, dry or sensitive skin then this will give you great results all year-long.
