Forest Essentials Sandalwood and Turmeric Body Polisher: Review

I love my beach vacations but what I do not love is the tan that I get from it. No, I am not a tan snob, a little tan is fine but I hate those weird tan lines that eventually ruin an outfit. Usually, my beach vacation is followed by a visit to the salon to get a nice round of body scrubbing and polishing but lately, I have been trying to find products that can give me that effect at home. In my quest to find something to get rid of my tan, I stumbled upon the Forest Essentials Sandalwood and Turmeric Body Polisher. I have been using this product for a few weeks now so as usual, I am here to share my views about it.

Price: Rs 2750 for 300 gms

Packaging

The Forest Essential Sandalwood and Turmeric Body Polisher comes in a big and heavy tub packaging with a screw on cap. The polisher also comes with a small bottle of herb-infused oil that you add to the polisher when the oil present in it starts to get finished and the product starts to dry. It’s no secret that I am not the biggest fan of tub packaging but I don’t mind them from Forest Essential as they usually come with a good quality wooden spatula. The tub, in general, is a little difficult to carry around so I try not to travel with it but other than that, I find the packaging quite hygienic and easy to use.

Product & Texture

The body polisher is a grainy scrub with exfoliating crystals that tend to dissolve once you use the product. The exfoliants are pretty effective but the oil prevents it from being too harsh on the skin. The body polisher does feel very thick and heavy initially but on moist skin, the product spreads pretty easily so a little quantity goes a long way.

The one thing that I absolutely love about this product is its fragrance. From the moment you open the cap, the pleasant fragrance of sandalwood greets you and it lingers for a good few hours so I honestly feel like I am in a luxurious spa session when I using this on my skin.

My Experience

While I am completely obsessed with the fragrance of this body polisher, the effect on my skin made the experience even better. The exfoliants have the perfect abrasive texture that gets rid of the dead skin without being too harsh on the skin. I did see a difference in my skin when I used this for the first time and I was able to get rid of most of the tan in a couple of uses.

The product is effective and light so it can be used by someone with dry skin. The oil ensures that the body polisher doesn’t dry out the skin completely and spreads well on the skin. I did not get any adverse reaction from using the product and because it is so mild, I do not have to think before I use it more than once a week.

Final Verdict

The Forest Essential Body Polisher is definitely a product worth investing in. I don’t think I could find anything I don’t like about this product apart from the bulky packaging and I do prefer investing in buying this polisher rather than spending money in the salon. The product is on the expensive side but the fact that, a small quantity goes a long way ensures that the tub lasts for a while. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for an effective body scrub
