Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream: Review

As I mentioned in my last post about the Innisfree Orchid Eye Cream, I received the Orchid Enriched range from Innisfree a few weeks back and have been testing the products since then. The next product from the range that i am going to talk about is the Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream.

Price: Rs. 2000

Just like the  eye cream , the Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream comes in a purple plastic tub with a screw on cap. The packaging is sturdy, travel friendly though it is a little bulkier than the eye cream. As usual,I am not happy with the tub packaging especially when it comes without a spatula.

The cream is a little rich and heavy in texture but it does become smoother if you warm it up a little. The texture was definitely a concern for me when I first used the product considering I have a very acne prone combination skin and I did not want to use anything that would end up clogging my pores so I decided to use it as a night cream. I did ended up using it during the day as well for a few days when the weather was a little cold but now as the temperature has started to rise, this has become a part of my night-time routine. Having said that, if you do have dry or dry combination skin, you can use it any time in the day but for the rest of the skin types, it will prove to be a little too much for the day but definitely an effective night cream.

I do not have ageing issues (yet :p) so I can’t really comment on the anti ageing properties of the cream but yes it definitely left my skin really soft and supple. As I mentioned before, I have a very acne prone skin and have breakouts during when the season changes or around my periods and there are not many creams that work for my skin during those phases but the Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream did. It doesn’t leave any sticky or greasy film behind, gets absorbed really quickly and I wake up with a well moisturized face.

I am not someone who is easily impressed by night creams and I usually end up going back to my trusted tea tree one from TBS but I think this time I am going to go for another tub of the orchid enriched cream. The best thing about the product is that a little quantity goes a long way and even though it is a little more expensive than what I usually use, the results and the fact that the tub is going to last me for months balances out the difference.
