Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask: Review

Do you guys remember my post about the opening of Innisfree store in Khan Market and the cute press kit they gave me…apart from the looks of the press kit I was also quite excited about the stuff in it and one of the first things that I tried was the Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask….. I have used it 4-5 times now so I am armed with lots of experience and I am going to share the same with you today.

Price: Rs 950 for 100 ml

Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask comes in this brown cardboard packaging inside which we have this brown tub with a shiny copper colored metallic screw on cap. The packaging is travel friendly however it doesn’t come with a spatula so I find it a little inconvenient and unhygienic.

The mask is a grey-colored thick paste. Its so thick that you cannot really apply it on a wet face. You will first have to add a few drops of water to it to make it a little creamy and then it spreads properly. It has a mild floral fragrance.
Once you have added water to it, the mask spreads very easily. You also don’t need to much product. I use less than quarter of a teaspoon of the mask for applying it to my whole face and neck. The mask dries up withing 10 minutes. As it’s a clay mask, you experience a little bit of stretching as its starts to dry but its not uncomfortable in any way. I did not experience any kind of irritation/burning sensation after application….rather it gave a very soothing cooling sensation to my face.

I love my skin after I apply this mask. It works well for my oily areas and I do see a difference for a day however that’s the extent of oil control it provides as the next day my skin is back to its normal self. My mom who has open pores near her nose area was my guinea pig to test whether it worked on shrinking them and well the results weren’t dramatic but I did see a difference but that difference also lasts for a couple of hours.
The only negative thing that I have to say about the product is that  I just don’t know what’s in it because the ingredients are mentioned in Korean….I did discuss this with the team when I went for the opening and they did mention that once Innisfree is a little more established in India they would make changes in the packaging.

Everything in Korean πŸ™

My final verdict about the product is very positive. It is in every way a super mask if you have oily skin or open pores and you will definitely like the results.
