Innisfree Wine Peeling Jelly Softener: Review

Don’t you guys think the weather has been pretty crazy around everywhere this year? I was in Texas during the beginning of the 2018 and it snowed after almost 14 years! Now Delhi is super hot even though usually its pretty pleasant around Holi so basically one of the reasons I loved living in the capital city is taking a turn for the worst.

Anyways, as the weather changed unexpectedly, so did my skincare routine. The clean and pollution free air when I was sailing did a lot of good for my skin and wanted to keep it that way so I went back to my trusted skincare brand – Innisfree and did a small haul. One of the products that I was super excited to try was the Innisfree Wine Peeling Jelly Softener and after a using it a few weeks, I am all ready to share my view with you.

Price: Rs 900 for 180 ml

Packaging

The Innisfree Wine Peeling Jelly Softener comes in a dark maroon plastic bottle packaging with a screw on cap. Once you remove the cap, there is another cap inside that acts as a stopper to prevent the product from leaking. I really like the packaging because it is quite sturdy, the plastic bottle covers “I am clumsy and will probably break this” problem and I don’t have to be worried about any mess when I carry it around because of the double caps.

Texture & Product

The product is a milky white liquid with a smooth and runny texture. The softener smells amazing and I would almost relate to a nice bottle of sweet wine. I feel like I am walking in vineyards.

The texture helps in applying the product evenly on the skin. It is thick enough not to start falling off the face after application but fluid enough to spread around without too much fuss

My Experience

To apply the product, I take the softener on a cotton pad and apply it to my face. I let it rest for a few minutes and then rub my face in small circular motions. The product starts peeling off along with the dead skin.

The product doesn’t make my skin itchy or irritate it in any way. As a teenager, I used to hate peel off masks because I used to dread the last part – peeling it off so I have really scared about removing the softener. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that using this product is not followed up by a painful removal.  The product forms soft crumbles which remove dead skin without a fuss.

Post application my skin feels quite smooth to touch and the product left it looking brighter.  The softener did not do much about my stubborn blackheads but it does get rid of the less pesky whiteheads. Regular use does help in keeping the skin clean and supple so it is the perfect exfoliator for someone with sensitive skin.

Final Verdict

Overall, I definitely like the softener and how I can use it a couple of times a week without being concerned about it drying out my skin. The product is very easy and fuss-free to use plus I do not have to spend to much time on application or removal. It is such a good product for anyone looking for a mild exfoliator.
