Kiehl’s Olive Fruit Oil Deeply Repairative Hair Pak: Review

I had been contemplating getting my hair colored for a while but no words can explain my shock when my hair stylist told me that my hair was just not in the state to go through another coloring treatment. I was beyond sad to hear this because my hair felt fine but I was told that it was in urgent need of constant deep conditioning and was suggested to add a good hair mask to my routine. One of the products that were highly recommended by my stylist to get my hair care back on track was the Kiehl’s Olive Fruit Oil Deeply Repairative Hair Pak

Price: Rs 1625 for 250 ml

The Kiehl’s Olive Fruit Oil Deeply Repairative Hair Pak comes in a really simple white plastic tub packaging with a screw on cap. It is one of those basic packagings that do what they are supposed to do – store the product and have no frills attached to it.The only downside to this is that it is a really bulky packaging and I have to transfer it to a new container.

Texture & Product

The hair pack is a pearly white product with a semi-thick consistency. The product is very smooth and you do not need more than one and a half scoop to cover shoulder length hair.

It has a really strong herb based fragrance which does remind me of the Figaro olive oil. The fragrance does vanish a few minutes of application so if you are not a big fan of strong fragrances, you do not need to worry about getting a headache.

My Experience

I use the hair pack once a week for a deep conditioning treatment and sometimes after my normal shampoo routine as well in case I exposed my hair to any kind of heat styling or used any styling product in my hair.

The product did help me get rid of the dry ends that I had developed after getting my hair colored for the first time. It also helped in reversing the damage my hair had sustained because of the weather change.

The hair pack definitely got rid of the dryness issue within a few weeks and in general, made my hair more manageable. It did not aggravate my scalp anyway and even though it has a thick consistency, it did not weigh down my hair or make my scalp oily.

Final Verdict

Overall, it is a decent hair product and the tub will last me for a good 6 months even though I have been using it weekly. It did help with the underlying issues that I had going on with my hair and I saw improvement after just a few weeks.
