KitchenAid India Proline Cordless Hand Blender launch and Lunch with Chef Vikas Khanna

Last week I was invited by KitchenAid India to join them at Smoke House Deli, Delhi as they launched their powerful and dynamic appliance – The KitchenAid Pro Line Cordless Hand Blender in association with Chef Vikas Khanna. This event was a part of a multi city #Blendappetit Tour which plans to visit various parts of India. The afternoon also witnessed the launch of Masterchef Vikas Khanna’s book- Hymns from the Soil, the first book on Indian vegetarian food and a tribute to Mother Earth, launched exclusively with Amazon.

When asked about the product and his book,Vikas Khanna  said “It feels great to be associated with KitchenAid India since I have spent many years innovating recipes with the brand’s iconic appliances. The Blender is a great tool for the kitchen and a must for people who are versatile and like creativity in their cooking style. I also feel proud to launch Hymns from The Soil, a vegetarian saga along with KitchenAid. “Hymns from the Soil”, is an exquisite amalgamation of gentle, pure, heartwarming vegetarian food that sings with the nature’s harvest.

Mohit Jain, Regional Director- KitchenAid Small Appliances, Asia-Pacific, introduced us to the appliance and we also had a brief demonstration of what this sleek looking appliance was capable of.

Meeting Vikas Khanna was obviously the highlight of this event. The thing that surprised us the most was how humble and funny he is. His innocent smile, his passion for food, the desi jokes and the typical Punjabi attitude made us all completely comfortable as we sat to enjoy the delicious menu prepared for us.

Caution: If you start to feel very hungry after looking at the pictures below, please don’t blame us…YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED *in a deep voice*

We also received a copy of Hymn from the Soil and Chef Vikas was kind enough to sign it. I love how detailed this book is and I am definitely excited to try some of the recipes in it definitely shows the amount research that has gone into each section and have already started bookmarking some recipes that I am going to try.

I am also going to get my hands on this Proline Cordless Hand Blender in a few days and pretty excited. It looks like the perfect gadget for lazy girl like me and I am really looking forward to trying some recipes with it.
