L.A. Girl PRO Conceal HD Concealer: Review & Swatches

One thing that I hate about new launches in India is that the shade selection is mostly disappointing. This however changed when L.A Girl became available on Nykaa because this one brand that prides itself because of the wide range of shade selection it offers. I obviously wasted no time to order one of their top-selling products – The L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer.

Price: Rs 535 for 8 gms

Packaging

The L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer comes in a transparent squeezable tube with a brush applicator and a screw on cap to protect the applicator. The packaging pretty much fits in your palm so it is quite travel-friendly and doesn’t take too much space in my makeup bag. I also like the fact that because the tube is transparent, I can see the shade I want if I own more than one of these bad boys. The applicator is smooth but such applicators do end up absorbing a lot of product which is a wastage.

Texture

The concealer has a thick creamy texture which proves to be helpful during application and blending. The only issue I face with this concealer is that it starts drying of very quickly so I have to blend it out within seconds.

My Experience

In terms of coverage, the concealer doesn’t disappoint. I have a fair amount of under eye pigmentation and the concealer covers them up pretty well without making it look ashy. As the coverage is great, you do not need too much of the product to hide the pigmentation.

The staying power of the concealer is around 5 -6 hours and more if you use a primer. The product doesn’t crease or settle into fine lines if you prep your skin well and apply and blend it out in the correct manner. Once you set the concealer with loose powder, the product gives you a nice matte finish and flawless coverage.

Final Verdict

All in all, I am addicted to this product and have been using it every day since I got it. The quality is amazing and the shade selection spoils you for choice. I usually face so much issue with finding the right concealer but with the L.A. Girl Pro Range, I can pretty much mix shades to get the correct match. They also have some color corrector and highlighting shades which I am eyeing next. It does take a little bit of practice to learn how to blend it out but the effort is worth it. Definitely, recommend this to anyone who is struggling to find a good concealer.
