Lakme Enrich Satin in P170: Review, Swatches and FOTD

I know I just talked about a lipstick a few days back but I have across soo many new shades and lipsticks recently that I just can’t stop myself from talking about them. Anyhow, coming to the review, this season has been all about plums and purple and continuing with that trend, I am going to talk about the second shade I bought from the Lakme Enrich Range and that is shade number P170

Price: Rs 260 for 4.4 ml

Just like the other Lakme Enrich Satin lipstick, P170 has the new packaging with a transparent plastic lid and bottom. As I had mentioned before, I am pretty happy with the new packaging because it looks better and saves me the effort of reading the label to locate the shade I want.

As I mentioned before, I pretty obsessed with purple at the moment and P170 is one hell of pretty purple with cool tones. The purple looks a bit darker in the bullet but on my lips its more of a neon purple and does wash my skin a teeny-tiny bit. Nevertheless, the shade is absolutely gorgeous and would look amazing if you have a lighter skin tone

Like most lipsticks from this range, the lipstick has a really smooth texture and it just glides on the lips during application. Even though the texture is very creamy, the lipstick doesn’t bleed or settle in fine lines but it does have a tendency to transfer

Unlike P168, P170 is a little sheer so in order to get the true color on the lips, you do need to build up the shade a couple of times. The good thing about this lipstick however is that it is so light that even after you layer it 2-3 times, it doesn’t feel heavy. The staying power on the other hand for this shade is a bit lower than the other shades and it starts fading after 3 hours. It does leave a light pink stain behind but the stain is almost non-noticeable especially if you have pigmented lips.

Overall, I do like the shade but it washes me out a little bit so I only apply it when I am feeling a little adventurous. The texture and the quality of the lipstick is great so if you are open to try bright shades then this is one color you should try.
