L’oreal Paris Color Riche Matte in Crazy Fuchsia – Review, Swatches and FOTD

Hi Girls,
We all know how this summer is all about bright colors and so when I saw this electric pink shade of Lóreal Paris Color Riche Matte in an advertisement I just knew I had to get it. Went to the L’oreal Paris outlet the very next day and came out with a big smile on my face and Crazy Fuchsia in my hands.
Price: Rs 825 for 4.7 gms
I usually shy away from blue based shades as they don’t look that great on me but Crazy Fuchsia is an exception. It instantly adds a certain kind of brightness to your face. The lipstick comes in a golden metallic packaging. I do carry it around these days and have faced no issues with the packaging.
The texture is rather confusing. When I initially tried it on, I though it might be like Colorbar matte lipsticks that are creamy when you apply them and then the texture slowly changes to matte but nothing like that happened with this lipstick. The texture is creamy and the lipstick just slides over your lips but there is no matte effect in it which is pretty weird because it is supposed matte lipstick.

The pigmentation is decent. It is not a neon bright pink but its bright and one swipe is enough to get an opaque layer on the lips but you can build the intensity according to your choice.Staying power is pretty good. It stayed on me for a good 5-6 hours and left a faint tint behind as it faded away.
The only issue I feel that is there with this lipstick is that you need to try it on your lips to know how it will look. Bright shades likes Crazy Fuchsia tend to look different on lips than what they look like in the swatches that you see on your hands…i guess its more of tip rather than a con.
My final verdict is that I absolutely love the color. It is definitely not matte and a bit expensive but the color and quality justify the price. But make sure you try it on your lips especially for all the  ladies out there with a medium complexion like me, its just too easy to go wrong with blue based shades in our case so just try it before you buy it.
