L’Oreal Paris True Match Blush in Rosewood: Review, Swatch and FOTD

I have two good examples of the two things that don’t mix up policy
First, drinking and driving…not trying to get preachy here but just heard of a freak accident involving a few colleagues a few days back
The second one is bright and colorful makeup at a work place that barely has any female presence, and the ladies that that are there are more bothered about spend analytics rather than smokey eyes, liquidity ratios rather than lipsticks and balance sheets rather than blushes.
I don’t take the first example lightly but I do try to work around the second one. I love bright pinks and reds, but unfortunately they don’t work at my workplace. Thanks to this I am always on the lookout for nice subtle shades that would make me look pretty without getting too much attention at work and one of my favorite blushes that completely satisfy all these conditions is L’Oreal Paris True Match Blush in the shade Rosewood

Price: Rs. 650 for 5 gms.

The packaging is really pretty and interesting. It has a transparent cap and two compartments. The top has the blush and the bottom has a mirror and the brush applicator. Its a clever packaging and I love the fact that the packaging has a mirror but the brush is definitely too rough and feels scratchy on the skin making it useless.

As I already mentioned, Rosewood is a very pretty peachy pink shade  that gives your cheek a very subtle glow. It looks more coral in the pan but on the cheeks, it looks brownish peach. The shade does have hint of shimmer but I don’t mind it because it looks really natural.the texture is better than most powder blush that I have used and it blends very easily without looking patchy or streaky.

The pigmentation is a little sheer . The color looks really strong in the pan but you have to go back 3-4 times to get the actual color. The staying power is definitely better than the pigmentation. I can see the color on my cheeks for almost 4-5 hours which is pretty good considering how oily my skin is.
Here are the swatches and how it looks on me

This is definitely my go-to blushes when it comes to getting ready for work. I do struggle to get the shade to show up but once it does, I get loads of compliments….yup even from those spend analytics, liquidity ratios and balance sheet loving ladies. So if you are stuck at a “makeup un-friendly” workplace like me, do check this one out.
