Lotus Herbals Apriscrub Fresh Apricot Scrub: Review

Lotus Herbals is one brand that doesn’t really disappoint me very often so I don’t have to give a lot of thought when I feel like trying something new from them. This time I decided to try a new scrub for my skincare routine, it was kind of a no brainer to pick up the Lotus Herbals Apriscrub Fresh Apricot Scrub  when I saw it on the drugstore shelf.

Price: Rs. 245 for 180 gms

The Lotus Herbals Apriscrub Fresh Apricot Scrub comes in a plastic tube packaging with a flip top cap. The tube has detailed description of the product, the list of ingredients and directions to use on it. There is nothing complicated about the packaging and it is pretty user and travel friendly. It also has this pleasant apricot fragrance which is mild enough to give you a pleasant experience while using the product without giving you a headache.

The scrub is a pretty thick and creamy in texture with densely packed beady granules. The granules are quite heavy and coarse  so you have to be a little careful about using it especially if you have sensitive skin. I did find it to be effective for the stubborn blackheads on my nose area but for the rest of my face  I have to keep the scrubbing action on the milder side.

I was pretty excited to try this product and it turned out to be decent for my face but I found it to be more useful as a body scrub. I do use it on my face twice a month but I am very gentle when I use it to ensure no harsh after effects to my skin. It is more of a deep breath exfoliation kind of a product rather than a daily use scrub.

Overall, it is a decent product but not something that I am over the moon about. I like using it during the cleanup I do but otherwise I find it to be a little to harsh. I wouldn’t recommend you to use it if you have a very sensitive skin and for other skin types, you need to be a little careful while using it . I would rather suggest it as a good body scrub than a face scrub.
