Lotus Herbals Kera-veda Soyasmooth Soya Protein Creme Deep Conditioner: Review

I have to admit I was kind of a brand snob for the longest times when it came to my hair products but lately I have had such a good experience with Indian brands that I just don’t see the point of spending the big bucks on an imported brand when I can get the same result from a local drugstore product. One of favorite drugstore brand these days has been Lotus Herbals so I decided to pack the Lotus Herbals Kera Veda Soya Smooth Conditioner with me for my trip to the ship and test it out.

Price:  Rs 225 for 150 gm

The Lotus Herbals Kera Veda Soya Smooth Conditioner comes in an orange plastic tube packaging with a green flip top cap. The packaging is a tad bulky but quite sturdy so I have mixed feelings when it comes travelling with it.

Texture & Product

The texture of this conditioner is a bit thick but it spreads quite easily. It’s really creamy and coats my hair pretty well. I am not a big fan of the fragrance though because it kind of reminds me of soap.

My Experience

Since the conditioner spreads easily, I need like two squirts from the tube to cover my shoulder length hair. The fragrance does linger but it becomes milder post application.

The conditioner doesn’t weigh my hair down and keeps my hair quite smooth and moisturized for a good couple of days. Since my hair is colored and chemically treated at the moment, I usually need something that moisturizes my hair a bit more than usual and this conditioner delivers that.

Final Verdict

I am pretty happy with the conditioner at the moment and even though I was not sure that it would give good results on my chemically treated hair, it did.

The fragrance is not my favorite though but I can make do with, considering I get smooth, moisturized and shiny hair at the fraction of cost I usually spend on such a product.
