Lotus Herbals Tea Tree Clarifying Face Pack: Review

I can’t believe that the temperature is already touching 35 degrees even though its technically not summers yet. I spent the last fortnight taking out all the summer essentials like shorts, skirts and the sleeveless tees and also stocking on my favorite mud packs which also reminded me that I have to talk about the latest face pack I am using, the Lotus Herbals Tea Tree Clarifying Face Pack. I have pretty high expectation from anything that has tea tree in it as tea tree is like the holy grail ingredient for my skin type so I was obviously hoping this face pack will keep all my skin care issues at bay. Did the product live up to my expectation? Read on to find out 🙂

Price:  Rs 165 for 60 gm.

This face pack comes in a squeezy tube with a flip-top plastic cap. I like the packaging because it is totally user-friendly and a tube packaging means less mess. The cap stays in place so it is pretty easy to travel with the product and because the tube is soo sleek, you do not have to worry about it taking too much space in your travel bag.

Most clay packs I have used come in a powder form but this product is a beige paste with quite thick and creamy consistency. The pack has a minty fragrance and even though the consistency is a bit on the thicker side, you can easily apply it using a wet face pack brush or wet fingers.

I absolutely love the fact that this is one of the most fuss free pace packs I have used . I just clean up my face and squeeze out a bit of the product, use my brush to apply a thick layer of the pack on my face. I do not need to mix anything to it as the consistency is just perfect. I do feel bit of a stinging sensation when I apply the pack but that is the tea tree working on my skin and the sensation is nothing alarming , rather it is pretty therapeutic and subsides after a few minutes.

The mask dries up in around 15-20 minutes depending how thick of a layer you have applied and once it is completely dry, you can either wet your face and slowly massage the pack into your skin to give your skin a little bit of an exfoliation as you remove the pack or use a cleansing sponge.

Th face pack removes any excess sebum from the skin pretty effectively so while I loved how my t-zone felt, I did feel that the normal parts of my face like my cheeks felt a little dry. The dryness though there is not something that a little bit of moisturizer can’t counter. Overall, however my skin looked really clean and bright. Coming to acne control, well I did feel that the acne I already had subsided a bit on application and I do see my acne clearing up a bit on regular application but there is no drastic difference.

All in all, it is a decent product, good for bi-weekly skin care treatment and even though it does give a bit of acne control, but nothing miraculous. I would recommend this if you are looking for something good yet budget friendly.
