Marc Jacobs Beauty Le Crème Lipstick in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang: Review, Swatch and FOTD

It has been almost a month since a lip product got reviewed on the blog and that in my books is absolutely unacceptable so I am going to quickly jump to review one of the most expensive lipsticks I own at the moment and it is the Marc Jacobs Beauty Le Crème Lipstick in the shade Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Is the lipstick worth the price tag? Read on to find out

Price: $30 for 3.4 gms

The Marc Jacobs Beauty Le Crème Lipstick comes in a sleek black tube packaging with the designer’s name embossed in silver on the body and the name of the shade at the bottom. The enclosure is metallic which ensures that the cap doesn’t come off if you are travelling with it. I really like the sleek packaging however there is no way to know which shade the bullet is unless you read the label

As the name suggests, this lipstick has a creamy texture ensuring that the lipstick glides on the lips during application. The lipstick does take a few minutes to settle into a more stable finish giving a semi matte finish. The lipstick is very light so layering is not an issue and even when you add a couple of swipes, you get an even finish.  The texture also ensures that lips don’t feel dry and it doesn’t settle in fine lines.

The lipstick is pretty pigmented and one swipe gives a good opaque layer of color on the lips. The lipstick doesn’t bleed or feather but it does transfer a bit. The lipsticks are supposed to last for around 10 hours which I thought was a pretty far fetched claim even before I bought this but the lipstick does stay in place for a good 5-6 hours which is quite impressive.

All in all, I absolutely love the lipstick and the shade to bits. The quality of the lipstick is great, the packaging looks good and the staying power is amazing considering it is a creamy lipsticks which have a tendency to fade easily. I know the price tag is a little steep but
