Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation Review

Hey Girls,
Maybelline is like my go to brand. My vanity is just full of stuff from Maybelline and most the product haven’t dissapointed me. So when I went looking for a daily wear foundation, I went straight to the Maybelline counter where I picked up Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation. I have been wearing this for a month now so read on to know what I think about it.

Price: Rs. 575 for 30 ml.
What Maybelline Claims:
Air-whipped formula of this liquid foundation provides skin perfecting coverage for 100% pore less skin. It blends effortlessly for a flawless air-brushed finish. This oil-free and fragrance-free formulation is Dermatologist-tested and is non-comedogenic in nature as won’t clog pores. Safe for sensitive skin.
Give a satin finish to your facial skin with this Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation for that beautiful flawless look.

The foundation comes in a glass bottle with a pump dispenser. Even though there is no cap in the packaging the pump dispenser closes when you turn the dispenser clockwise. Though the absence of cap definitely meas it is not really safe to carry it around. I absolutely love the packaging as it is soo easy to use the product and you can easily see how much product is left because of the glass bottle.
Coming to the texture of the foundation, it is slightly thicker than your regular liquid foundation but it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin at all. The product might look a little thick but it blends very easily. As the texture is a little heavy so you need to be a little careful about the quantity as you might not need the quantity that you use while working with a liquid foundation.
The product provides medium coverage which can easily built up. If you have an oily skin then you need to set it with face powder. The staying power is 4-5 hours and though initially it has a mattifying effect on the skin, after 3 hours or so you can see a little shine on your t-zone but nothing that cannot be controlled by a touch up :).

Lets go on to the yay-nay list
  • Packaging is quite user friendly
  • Blends easily and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin
  • Provides medium to heavy coverage
  • Pocket friendly
  • Touch up required after a while
  • No SPF
  • The packaging does not have a cap, so there is always a risk of leakage when you carry it around
I love your comments
