Maybelline Hypersharp Liner : Review & Swatches

Yesterday while randomly surfing through YouTube I saw alot of makeup gurus doing the 3 minute makeup challenge and it was soo hilarious to see them struggling and multi-tasking to finish the challenge . Looking at them struggling my first thought was lets try this…..then I reminded myself that I face this challenge every morning while getting ready for work. The worst , most annoying and irritating part of this daily struggle is getting that straight line when you applying the liner and waiting for it to dry.
I love wearing eyeliner…that’s one part of routine I cannot skip so am always on a lookout for the fastest way to get that perfect line and that’s why the sketch pen ones are my favorite. And one of my go to liner in the morning is the Maybelline Hypersharp Liner.

Maybelline Hypershine Liner comes in a thin pen like packaging with a metallic golden cap. The brand and product name are engraved on the body of the liner. The packaging looks a little cheap to me. Even the metallic cap is a little flimsy so I don’t prefer carrying it around.

The brush applicator looks like nib of a pen and its really really really thin. Its neither to hard nor to soft so it gives you the perfect control when you apply the liner. If you are the kind of person who likes to wear really thin liner than this Maybelline Hypershine liner  is perfect for you and obviously you can build up the width according to your choice using it to.
The pigmentation of the liner is really good so there is no need for you to go over and over again to get that jet black color. Also one thing that I really like about it is that unlike some of the pen liners that I have used, I face no problems when I try to apply it over eye shadows that I am wearing especially the cream and glitter ones.
Another great thing about this liner is that even though it is a liquid liner, it dries really quickly.  Even if I am layering the liner it doesn’t get flaky or patchy and dries in matter of minutes. It also doesn’t fade and stays intact for the whole day. The liner also gets removed really easily. Even though it is a water proof eye liner,  you face issues in removing it. Just use your regular makeup remover and its gone in a single swipe…no tugging…no pulling to remove it πŸ™‚

The Yays:

  • The nib is sturdy enough to give a good control
  • The brush applicator is really thin so getting that thin is no problem
  • Doesn’t become flaky or patchy even if you put multiple layers
  • Really pigmented
  • Usage over eye shadow doesn’t great an issue
  • Stays put all day
  • Dries fast
  • Water proof
  • Can be easily removed using regular makeup remover without to much effort
  • Reasonable priced
  • Easily available
The Nays:
  • The packaging is really cheap
If you are like me and love wearing eyeliner but don’t have enough time to get ready in the morning…go grab this….it will save alot of effort and time. the quality and price are obviously added advantages of this product.
