Maybelline White Superfresh Compact Powder: Review

Maybelline has been a front-runner the whole of 2015 when it comes to new launches and one them was the Maybelline White Superfresh Compact Powder. I have been using this compact powder for a  couple of week now and I am finally ready to share if this product gets a COML recommendation or not.

Price: Rs 150 for 8 gms.

The Maybelline White Superfresh Compact Powder comes in a simple white packaging. It does have a puff applicator which is not really good for application but you can use it for hasty touch ups. Overall the packaging is pretty simple, sturdy and travel friendly.

The compact is available in three shades- Pearl (Light to Medium), Shell (Medium) & Coral (Medium to Dark). I got the medium shade Shell which does suit my skin tone. However I do feel that the shade selection is pretty limited and you would find it difficult to find a match if you are on the duskier side.

The product has a finely milled texture and feels pretty smooth and light on application. The compact does feel a little powdery but you don’t face any issues to blend it in. The powder does make your skin a little white initially but the product settles down into the skin tone after a few minutes.

In terms of coverage, the powder gives light to medium coverage so you can’t just rely on it to cover any acne marks or blemishes. The good thing is that the powder instantly brightens up my skin making it look really fresh so on days that I don’t feel like wearing too much makeup, I just use a little bit of concealer to hide any blemishes and wear this compact over it.

Performance wise the compact doesn’t really live up to the 12 hr claim however it does make the skin look matte and keeps it oil free for a good 3-4 hours post which you do need to touch up the t-zone especially if you have oily or oily combination skin.

Overall, Maybelline White Super Fresh Compact is definitely oneof the best options out there if you are looking for an affordable compact. The shade selection is a little limited but if you can find the shade matching your skin tone then I would suggest trying this out especially if you want a sheer and natural no makeup kind of look.

  • This powder is best for summers for touch up. Well reviewed!

  • I love maybelline compacts. This one sounds amazing, but the limited shade range is a downside.
Let me look for these one next time around.

    • Limited shade selection is one of my biggest pet peeves with brands….I don’t know why brands don’t feel the need to have a wider shade selection in India like they do in US or other markets :/

  • This is definitely one of the best budget compacts in the market.
