MUA Blusher in the shade Bon Bon: Review and Swatches

I think I am becoming an MUA addict…don’t blame me…they come up with such good offers and then well who can refuse the quality they offer at such pocket friendly price. The last time I checked their website I saw they had launched some new powder blushes calling them 2013 New Blusher Shades . They are retailing at the same price as the old powder blushes but these shades looked really pretty so I decided to try one of them and today I am going to talk about it with you guys ๐Ÿ™‚

Price: ยฃ1.00

MUA Blushers come in a simple packaging with a black base and a transparent top. I don’t like the packaging of this blush because every time I open it i feel I will break the top cover. Though I have to admit   it is sturdy because the moment I opened the package, the blush fell out of my hand but the packaging did not open or break.

The shade that I got is called BonBon. The website describes it to be a warm apricot shade and that’s what it appears to be in the pan but on the skin it is a little more pink. I love the shade, because it is a little coral based pink I can easily wear it with anything and it looks totally natural…it’s just perfect for summers.

The texture is really smooth and you face no problems in blending it. BonBon has a little bit of shimmer in it but not the chunky of shimmer so it gives you a very natural glow. The blush is definitely a little chalky and you see powder flying around when you swirl your brush in it.

These blushes are actually really delicate. I can say that because the one I have has started breaking into pieces after it fell from my hands so you need to be a little careful when you handle it.

The good things:
  • The packaging is sturdy
  • The 2013 range has a lot of pretty shades
  • Smooth texture
  • Blends really well
  • The subtle shimmers present in blush give a natural glow
The not-so good things:
  • MUA can do a better job with packaging
  • The texture is a little chalky
  • The blushes are very delicate so you need to be a little careful when you handle them.
  • Availability
I like the shades available but the packaging is a little disappointing.Obviously at the price it retails at you can’t really expect everything. If you are placing  an order with MUA anytime..don’t forget to check these out.
