MUA Poptastic Palette:Swatches & Review

Hello people πŸ™‚
My association with the word “pop”started with the series of Mary Poppins books that my mom got for me when I was 7 years old, then it was my obsession for the candy Parle Poppins ( followed by alot of visit to the dentist πŸ˜› ), then came the love for those buttery popcorns without which no movie was complete , followed by pop music playing in a loop on my i-pod and well the latest addition to this addiction to “pop” is the MUA Poptastic Palette.

Price: Β£ 4

As the name suggest MUA Poptastic palette contains 12 bright and bold shades of yellow, blue and pink. Most of the shades have shimmery finish while some of the shades have pearly finish too. The packaging is pretty simple black palette with a transparent lid. It is nothing fancy but its safe to carry it around. The palette also has a sponge applicator, which as usual is useless.

This is my first palette from MUA and I am pretty impressed with the pigmentation. Thee staying power is also great. With primer , there was no creasing or fading for 6-7 hours. The shades that have shimmery finish do have fall outs but nothing that a q-tip and a little moisturizer cannot handle. The only complain I have is that the palette has too many blue based shades. Not that the shades aren’t pretty but 4 out of 12 shades are blue or bluish are a bit too much. Also this palette is only available on Jabong or the MUA website.

Final verdict….If you are somebody who loves to wear bright and bold colors on your eyes then you are going to love this palette but if you are more of a neutral girl, skip it.
