MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter in Iridescent Gold: Review, Swatch and FOTD

So I kind of made a resolution this year that I am not going to buy any new makeup before I finish reviewing the all the makeup I had bought for my wedding. Well I had clearly not though this resolution through because one, I bought a lot of new makeup and two, I ended up buying skincare/haircare products instead of makeup and instead of reviewing the stuff I had, as usual I started reviewing the new products. I am finally going back to my stash and the one of the favorite things I bought for my trousseau was the MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter. I had been eyeing this highlighter for a while and I finally used my wedding as an excuse to make it a part of the MUA haul I did. Let me finally tell you all about this gorgeous little baby.

Price: £ 3 for 9 gms

The first thing that I love about this product is the packaging. The look of the highlighter can be described as nothing less than stunning. The MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter comes in white plastic pan with a transparent top. The product itself has this pretty wave-like swirl design on it that I hated to spoil when I was using the product. Quality wise the packaging is definitely not the most sturdy but it hasn’t given me any hassles while travelling so I am not complaining.

The shade I got is called Iridescent Gold and I don’t think you can describe the shade better. The color looks really white in the pan but turns into a beautiful shade of gold on application that gives the skin that natural highlight. Its more like a baked highlight so there is less mess.

Pigmentation is really good for a highlighter that retails at this price. A single swipe gives you a nice layer of color on your cheeks and the color ensures that it doesn’t look too made up. The product is really soft so it blends very easily without giving a patchy finish but the only thing you need to keep in mind is to be careful about the quantity until you want to look like a disco ball.

As you have probably guessed by now, I love this product. I think it’s one of the few products that give you such good value for money and work really well for the Indian skintone. I love the shade, the quality and the best part is that a little amount goes a long way so  9 gms will last you a while. The only issue with the product is availability but if you can get your hands on it, do not forget to add it in your cart the next time you place an order with MUA.
