My first Outfit of the Day Post :)

Hi Ladies,
So I know I have been a bit irregular on the blog these days and I apologize for that. I am neck deep in work for the past couple of weeks all thanks to the festive season and a family wedding that is just two weeks away.
Speaking of the festive season, Diwali is just two days away and super excited for this festival. Thanks to the wedding all my relatives are in town and I am definitely going have a great Diwali this year. The fun associated with this festival has already begun for me. Today we had a small celebration at my office followed by a Diwali party after work.
Attending a party after work is a tricky business. You are obviously too tired to get ready for it but then again a girl needs to dress up…right?
I decided to keep the ethnic theme in mind but I gave it my own twist. I wore a black kurti that has a very beautiful gold work around the neck. I kept my accessories and makeup really simple and wore the kurti with a pair of basic black jeans and some very comfortable black ballerinas.

So how are your preparations going on for Diwali?
