Nykaa Matte Nail Lacquer in Blueberry Frosting: Review

While I am not really a big nail paint buff, once in a while I decide to pretty up my hands and feet. On one such occasion, I decided to try the much raved about range of Nykaa Matte Nail Lacquer. The first shade I tried was Blueberry Frosting and I am going to share all the details about it today.

Price: Rs 199

The packaging of the Nykaa Matte Nail Lacquer comes in a frosty packaging that kind of portrays the matte finish. The packaging is quite sturdy which has been tested on the zillion occasions I have dropped it. It is travel friendly and really pretty to look at.

Coming to the shade, Blueberry Frosting is a gorgeous grey nail paint with blue undertones. I love dark nail paints and this is one of the most beautiful greys I own. The shade is  not exactly a blacking grey instead it is an ash grey which looks amazing in the matte finish.

The nail paint has a decent consistency but it is a little thicker than the other nail paints I have used. The consistency requires a little bit of patience during application otherwise you can end up getting a bit of a streaky finish. The streaky finish is not very drastic but the application does require a little bit of practice. Staying power on the other hand, is a little low and they start chipping in 3-4 days. The shade doesn’t change color or fade away during the time it lasts and I love how unlike other nail paints I have used, this nail paint doesn’t looses the matte finish.

Overall, I am loving the range and the shade particularly. I have always loved matte finish when it comes to lip color but have fell in love with how pretty even nail paints look in this finish. The only thing that bothers me is that it chips a little faster than I had hoped but that hasn’t stopped me from buying some more shades from this range which I will reviewing soon.
