NYX Bohemian Rhapsody Eye Shadow Palette: Review & Swatches

Hello Ladies πŸ™‚
I love investing in palettes more than buying single eye shadows and today I am going to review the Bohemian Rhapsody palette from NYX that I absolutely love. I have an affinity towards neutral eye makeup so I find myself looking for this palette very often.

Price: I bought it for Rs. 800 but now I think the price has increased to Rs. 1100

In the palette you get 10 eye shadows of neutral tones in a mix of matte and shimmer texture.  The eye shadows come with a double ended sponge applicator which I obviously had to toss as it was completely useless.

The quality is a hit and miss for a lot of shades. Some matte ones are particularly powdery in texture. The pigmentation varies for different shades. Some have great pigmentation while the others are just good for highlighting. The shimmer based once to tend to work better when used wet. Over a primer they tend to stay for 5-6 hours without creasing or fading. The matte ones do tend to stay more than their shimmer counter parts.

Overall if you see for me it was like Rs. 80 per shade which was a pretty good deal. It does take a little time to get to know how to use the palette but in case you are a fan of cool toned neutrals like me, you should buy this palette.

  • I had much expectations from these palettes, but honestly, it did not live upto it. But if bought at the original US pricing, I wouldn;t have had nothing to complain about.
