PAC Cosmetics Beauty Blender Sponge: Review

I have been obsessed with makeup sponges lately and find them to be a bit more convenient than brushes. I do love my beauty blender to bits but the Delhiite in me is always on the lookout for a cheaper dupe. One of the variants I recently tried was the PAC Cosmetics Beauty Blender Sponge. Read on to find out if it is any good

Price: Rs 485

Packaging

PAC Cosmetics Beauty Blender Sponge comes in a cardboard box packaging with the sponge inside. The sponge has a tear drop shape which looks very similar to the Real Techniques beauty blender. The box packaging looks pretty but I don’t like the fact that its a cardboard box since I can’t store the sponge in it if it is wet and the box is a little bulky to carry around. Overall, I would have definitely preferred if the beauty blender had come with a plastic packaging.

Product & Texture

The sponge is quite soft and squishy to touch when it’s dry but it does get a little more fluffy after getting wet. It is definitely not as smooth and fluffy as the original beauty blender but you can feel that the sponge is of good quality unlike the cheap replicas you see in the market.

My Experience

My experience with the blender has been pretty decent and it does make my foundation looks really great. Application and blending of foundation takes only a few seconds with this sponge and there are no streak marks which some foundation brushes leave behind.

Having said that, you do feel that it is a dupe of the original beauty blender when you try and get the sponge wet because it takes forever to get the water out and for the sponge to get back to its normal shape after you have squeezed it a couple of times.

The shape of the sponge is flexible enough to get in tricky areas of the faces so I do use it for applying concealer or even my contour products. The sponge is particularly effective when it comes to baking since it picks up the right amount of powder you need to bake the under eye and highlighted area.

The sponge is easy to wash and clean. I have been using it for a couple of months now almost on a daily basis and I have not faced any issues in terms of the quality. The sponge hasn’t cracked or lost it shapes and I am usually able to get all the product out of it using my brush cleaner or  even a good shampoo.

Final Verdict

All in all, the PAC beauty blender sponge does a good job at blending my makeup. The quality of the product is pretty great considering the price it retails at. It gives me a really good coverage and I have to say it is one of the best dupes of the original beauty lender that I have come across. I am super impressed and would definitely recommend you to try it.
