Plum Green Tea Alcohol-Free Toner: Review

Whenever I go back to my mommies place these days, one thing that I do is to raid my sister’s vanity to see what new products she has been trying. Like me, she has just started experimenting with the brand Plum Cosmetics and one of the product she was raving about is the Plum Green Tea Alcohol Free Toner. Now like a good beauty blogger I tried the product for a few days during my stay there and quickly ordered a bottle of the same toner for me to continue the testing. I have used it for around 2 months now so I am ready to share my views about it.

Price: Rs 380 for 200 ml

The Plum Green Tea Alcohol Free Toner comes in a white translucent plastic bottle with a flip open cap. The outlet in the cap dispenses a pretty decent amount of the product and when the cap closes, you have to apply a good amount of pressure to open it. The packaging is very simple, sturdy and poses no issues if you travel around with it.

The toner is clear runny liquid with a very ¬†mild green tea like fragrance to it. The product almost looks like water and the only thing that can distinguish it from water is the fragrance. The consistency ensures that you don’t need to much product to cover your whole face. It effectively cleanses my face removing any dirt or makeup that was left post my cleansing routine. I love the cooling sensation it leaves behind when I apply it and my face feels really fresh without any dryness. Also, an added advantage with this toner is that it is parabens and SLS free.

My skin did not get irritated or breakout once I switched to this toner. I wasn’t too sure if the toner will able to handle the mess that my skin is during the summers but it definitely proved me wrong. My skin feels supple and clean once I use it and it has given me results that are similar to some of its more expensive alternatives in the market.

All in all, the toner is definitely a good option if you are looking for a mild toner for oily combination skin. I have used mild toners before but never during the summers as my skin drives me crazy during the hotter months and needs what can be referred to as a more firm hand to make it behave. Surprisingly, the Plum Green Tea Alcohol Free Toner worked so well for my skin even though is so light and I particularly appreciate the cooling sensation. Also, I am getting really impressed by the quality of the products from Plum so let me know if you have any recommendation of products I should try next.
