Review: Snackible – The Healthy Snacks Subscription Box

Who doesn’t love a good snack but what I don’t love are the extra calories. I am quite an Instagram addict and during each scrolling session, I saw this add for Snackible. Now I know that I must appear to be naive that I ordered stuff after looking at an Instagram ad but life is all about taking chances and that exactly what I decided to do.

The idea behind Snackible was to replace the conveniently available unhealthy snacks with options that are not only tasty but also won’t hurt your waistline or wallet. They offer a subscription box and you can either opt for the snacks you want or just let them surprise you. The website is simple to navigate and it took me around 5 minutes to place the whole order.

As this was the first time I was placing an order with them, I decided to be a little conservative with my purchase. I ordered the subscription box for just one week and I decided to choose my snacks. The box included 5 snacks of my choice for Rs 325 which was inclusive of shipping as well. They also give you Cash on Delivery option along with various modes of online payment. I received my package within two days of placing the order and to my surprise, the size of the box was much bigger than I had expected.

Each of the snacks came sealed in a transparent plastic packaging that not only had the ingredient list but also mentioned the usual unhealthy ingredients that were missing from these snacks. Most of the packaging had a resealable option which is great because I can carry them around without transferring them to a separate box to make sure that doesn’t go stale.

While I was a little disappointed that Snackible just had like 15-20 options of snacks, I have to say they covered a lot of different variety in it:

Dark Chocolate + Peanut Butter Energy Bar: I absolutely loved this because I am crazy for peanut butter and dark chocolate so a snack that had both was like a dream come true. It’s a little on the sweeter side even though it does not have any refined sugar so instead of using it as an energy bar, I pretty much used it as a healthy dessert option instead.

Seedy Crunchers:  This was a mixture of pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, sunflower seeds, watermelon seeds, almonds, and dates. While this meant to be a crispy treat, I like to use it as a muesli and have it with yogurt. I am not too fond of this snack though because it is a weird mix of salty and sweet but not in a good way.

French Vanilla and Almond Granola Cruncher: This smells soo good and I just couldn’t stop sniffing the packet since I opened it. It just reminded of the yummy vanilla tea cakes and I absolutely love munching on them or having them with milk or yogurt. They have a decent amount of sweetness but you might need to add a bit of honey if you like your snack to be a bit on the sweet end.

Oatmeal Chocolate Bites: Definitely one of my favorite snack in the box. It reminds me of chikki but a softer and healthier version of that.  It has oats and nuts base that is cut into bite size square pieces and topped with a thin layer of white chocolate. I have pretty much finished most of the packet because this is such a nice little snack for me particularly when I am craving something sweet which is almost all the time. Another good thing about is that these are gluten-free, with zero trans-fat so they are a good way to snack without feeling guilty.

Banana & Chia Granola Crunchers: This is one of the snacks that I carry around everywhere I go. Made of rolled oats, banana pulp, and chia seeds, it is kind of the perfect snack for my tea time. This snack has the perfect sweet and salty balance so it doesn’t get overwhelming in terms of taste at any point in time.

As I mentioned earlier, the quantity of all the snacks was much larger than what I had expected and I have been munching on them quite frequently but I still have most of them left. I do like the idea of having healthy snacks delivered to my door step and Snackible is making that happen. The quality and quantity of all the snacks were great considering the price of the box. I am looking forward to trying some of the other snacks available on their site but I would like to see a couple of more options. Overall, if you are looking to try some healthier snacks without breaking the bank then Snackible is something can try.
