Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer: Review

Its so annoying when you put in an effort to get all decked up and then the moment you step out of your house, well your makeup starts slipping away. Now I can’t do anything about my skin type so the only solution I have is to opt for a good primer and an amazing makeup setting spray. I am going to talk about the former today…the Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer.

Price: Rs 1300 for 27 ml
What the company has to say about the product:
Revlon PhotoReady™ Perfecting Primer softens the skin skin, reduces the appearance of pores and fine lines, smoothens skin texture, and tone. Our award-winning, lightweight primer smoothes and softens skin to create the perfect canvas.”
Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer comes in a transparent glass bottle packaging and has a pump dispenser. I love that it has a pump dispenser because its obviously more hygienic but I am not a big fan of such expensive products coming in glass bottles….one slip and all your big bucks go down the drain 🙁

The product is pinkish white lotion with a creamy consistency. Even though pretty creamy, its not too heavy and blends very easily. I love how after a few minutes of application, it gets soaked in the skin and you have this instant brightness on your face. I wouldn’t say that my skin looks matte but it definitely looks much better after I apply it.

I was a little worried whether the product would work for me or not after I saw it doesn’t really mattify my skin however definitely proved me wrong. The primer does everything it claims and I can see that reduces the visibility of pores ( I don’t have fine lines so can’t really judge that claim :p ) my skin looks and feels smooth and my foundation just glides and blends better.
Also, even though its expensive, you just need a pump or two to cover your whole face so this 27 ml lasts a while. No fancy brushes required apply this one…your fingers are enough to do all the magic 🙂
I honestly love this product and would totally recommend it to anybody who has an oily skin and is looking for a good primer. I know its on the expensive side but trust me you won’t regret spending all that money.

  • Primers are really the in thing right now in the Indian Market. Maybe the prices will reduce over time.
