Rimmel London Blusher in Summer Fever: Review and Swatches

Hi Ladies ๐Ÿ™‚
It makes soo happy to see international brands finally available in India. What makes it better if they are available at the right price….so obviously when I saw Rimmel London on at a price that won’t make my bank account cry …I placed an order in a jiffy and Summer Fever blush was one of the first products to get placed in the cart.

Price: Rs. 485 for 4.5 gm.

The blush comes in a small black pan with a transparent lid. The product has a cute crown logo on it. The transparent cap is not too tight neither too loose so you need to a little cautious while carrying it around.

The Summer Fever Trio is a combination of three shades-  coral pink for a blush, the champagne shimmer for highlighting and brownish matte shade for contouring. All these colors when mixed together give you this amazing shade that in turn gives a very natural glow to your cheeks.

L-R: Brown, Champagne, Pink

The texture is powder based and it has glitter particles in it which you can see flying around when you swirl your brush in the pan. The pigmentation is pretty decent but due to the presence of the brown you might end up looking really really tanned so you need to be a little careful.

Ok now lets come to the problem areas, one of the biggest issue that I have is that for a Rimmel product, the staying power is a little disappointing. On my oily skin in this very hot Delhi weather, it stays for around 3 hours and thanks to the not so reliable packaging I don’t like carrying it around. To counter this I usually wear it at night or when I know I don’t have to move around in the sun too much so that it stays longer.

Secondly, even though I see that its a trio, the portion of each color and the quantity of the whole product is so little that its not possible to pick any of the colors individually. But the fact that the combination of the three shades gives me such a nice brownish pinkish color to wear on my cheeks definitely helps me getting over this problem.
All in all…definitely a pretty color if you mix all the shades together and perfect for summers however it requires touch up every 3-4 hours especially if you have sweltering summers like we do in the capital city.
