Sleek i Divine Eye shadow Palette in Sunset: Review and Swatches

First things first…thank you so much for the all of you who have participated in the giveaway. I am overwhelmed to see such a good response in just a span of three days. And if yo haven’t participated yet…then what are you waiting for…click here and enter the giveaway now!!!!

One of the prizes in the giveaway is the Sleek i-Divine eye shadow palette in Sunset. I had bought this palette earlier when I had to attend my cousin’s wedding because its like the perfect palette for the Indian skin tone and has all the shades that work with the typical Indian wedding outfits. However I lost a bag full of makeup during the weeding and unfortunately it had this palette in it. But now I have a couple of friend’s getting married in the coming months so I knew I had get this again.

Price: $ 9.99 ( I order 3 things…2 palettes and a blush and paid a shipping of $5)
What the company has to say about this palette:
The Sunset i-Divine palette contains 12 highly-pigmented complementary shades representing the sun, sea and sand. With a blend of shimmering golds, reds and blues, this palette is perfect for that sun-kissed look. The velvet-touch consistency gives full and shimmering coverage to the eye lid for maximum effect. Each shade can be applied alone for a dramatic effect or mixed to create a personalised look.”
The sunset i-divine palette comes in the regular sleek packaging– black palette with a big sleek logo on the top. It also comes with a double sponge applicator which is useless. The thing that I love about the packaging the most is that it has this huge mirror in it.

The sunset palette contains 11 shimmery shades and one matte shade which is the black one. The shades are really vibrant, the finish is shimmery, texture is smooth and the pigmentation is amazing. The shades blend very easily due to their smooth texture. I love bronze based shades so obviously I am loving all the shades in this palette but the blue definitely looks out of place. Because most shades are shimmery, you do have a little fall outs but nothing extreme.

The good things about the palette:
  • Packaging is really sturdy and user friendly because of the mirror
  • Vibrant shades
  • Texture is smooth
  • Great pigmentation
  • Blend easily
  • 12 shades for $10…that’s a great deal right there :p
The not so good things
  • Minor fall-outs
  • Availability in India πŸ™

My final verdict is definitely on the positive side. I love the palette…I love the shades and the quality of the eye shadows. I think the availability is the only major problem here as placing order with an international website has its share of issues . I myself had a bad experience when I placed this order and all I will say is that the Sleek customer care service has alot of scope of improvement but nonetheless I cant deny I love their products.

  • Do they provide tracking info? Or is it the standard one which takes a month to reach?

  • Love the shades!

  • To lose a bagful of makeup!! I wouldn't know how to cope with the loss. I would have been at my wit's end!
The palette looks just right for it's name and I would like to possess one. I have the Bad Girl and it's amazing.

  • You should have seen my reaction when I realised that the bag was missing….and you know the worst part…it had sleek and MAC products in it…it still hurts to remember that I lost all that πŸ™
But ya I am definitely eyeing alot of other palettes from Sleek…bad girl is one of them πŸ™‚

  • Me tooo

  • No they don't…but even without the tracking info my package usually reaches me in 2 weeks…but I have definitely heard about alot of cases of lost packages and then the huge struggle with the customer care to get the money back

  • Loved the shades…They're super pretty! πŸ™‚
