Tarte Tartelette Flirt Eye Shadow Palette: Review & Swatches

While the first and most amazing thing about sailing with my husband is travelling around the world with him, the second perk of these trips are access to international makeup brands aka no more shipping and custom charges that cost more than the product itself.

This time around I was able to take advantage of the Memorial Day sales so I treated myself with a bunch load of new makeup including a huge haul from Tarte. One of the first things that went into my cart at Sephora was Tarte Tartelette Eyeshadow Palette in Flirt

Price: $23 for .85 gm x 6

The Tarte Tartelette Eyeshadow Palette comes in a beautiful purple and gold cardboard packaging. The packaging is really sleek and travel friendly. The palette has a mirror inside which gets bonus points for great packaging from me.

Texture & Product

The palette has 6 variants of browns and a mix of matte and glitter textures. The palette greets you with a nice vanilla fragrance when you open it and each shade has quite flirty names like gaze, touch, hotline, playful, passion and snuggle.

The texture of the eyeshadows is smooth and they go on as smooth as butter. The glitter shades are not chunky so I don’t look like I wearing pieces of a disco ball on my eye lids.

My Experience

I love the variation of the shades in the palette. The shades are perfect for a day or night look and the warm undertones works really well with Indian skin tones. The colors are really pigmented and the glitter based shades, touch and passion do not have any major fallouts.

Let’s talk about the shades in a little detail:

Gaze: Matte nude eyeshadow that works really well as a highlighter and as a base for the glitter eyeshadows in the palette

Touch: Bronze glitter eyeshadow with orange undertones. This is my go to shade when it comes to a night look or when I am planning a no fuss makeup look with my Indian wear because nothing works better with Indian wear than a bronze eyeshadow.

Hotline: A warm brown that is just the perfect transition color for any makeup look you are going for. The matte brown helps to give that perfect definition to your crease.

Playful: I can best describe this color as a middle ground between taupe and brown. This is a milder version of taupe with very heavy orange undertones. This appears to be slightly more taupe on the palette but a bit browner on the lids. It’s my go to color when I am feeling a brown smokey eye.

Passion: Champagne colored glitter eyeshadow with a hint of brown. Tried using it as a eyeshadow and it looks nice but it looks way better as a highlighter. Also, surprisingly even though it is such a soft shade, the pigmentation is crazy.

Snuggle: The true-blue chocolate brown on the palette that helps me get the smoke in smokey. It helps me get the definition I need at the edge of my eye or if I feel like smoking out my eyeliner for that effortlessly chic look. A piece of advice while using this would be to use a light hand because it is pigmented like hell.

The eyeshadows stay for a good 6 hours and longer if used with a primer. They do not fade or transfer so you do not have to worry about looking like a panda at the end of a long day.

Final Verdict

I am in love with the palette. It is my go to travel palette because it is so versatile and I don’t have to worry about carrying different eye shadows for my day and night looks.

The quality is amazing, the pigmentation is outstanding and I am in love with the shade variants. They palette is sturdy ad it has a big mirror so I can do my makeup on the go.

Finding it in India might be a bit of a challenge but if you can get your hands on this one then for sure do. Totally recommended by COML!
