The Body Shop Born Lippy Lip Balm in Passion Berry

A few days
back I did post on “How to get pinker lips” in which I mentioned how lip balm
should be your best friend. I am definitely a lip balm monster…you know like a
cookie monster who can’t keep his hands of a cookie jar…I can’t resist picking
up a lip balm whenever I go out for shopping.
Having said
that, surprisingly I haven’t reviewed to a really amazing lip balm on the blog yet….so here I
am today with the review of one of favorite lip balms …The Body Shop Born
Lippy Lip Balm in Passion Berry.
Price: Rs.
205 for 10 ml( 8.5 gms)
TBS Born
Lippy Lip Balm comes in a round plastic tub packaging. I love the fact that
it’s a plastic tub because I am very clumsy….things fall from my hand every now
and then. So obviously with the plastic tub I don’t have worry about breakage.
But yes I would have preferred a stick packaging rather than the tub.
The texture
of the lip balm appears to be very waxy in the tub but once you apply it feels
very creamy and light. Some of the lip balms I have tried make my lips feel
very sticky, but thankfully that’s not the case with this one.
It has a
very strong fruity fragrance which tends to stay for a while. I love the
fragrance and the fact that it stays but it can obviously bother some people.
The lip balm also looks really tinted in the tub but it’s pretty transparent on
the lips so if you are looking for a tinted lip balm this doesn’t really solve
that purpose.
This
definitely one of my favorite lip balms as it keeps my lips moisturized for almost 3 hours. Also even though for 200 bucks you getting just 10 ml and a
little quantity is enough to cover your lips completely so obviously 10 ml does
last for a long time.
 The good things about it:
  •  Sturdy packaging
  •  Feels creamy and light on your lips
  •  Doesn’t feel sticky on the lips
  • Sweet fruity fragrance
  • Keeps your lips moisturized for at least 2 hours
  • A little quantity is enough so 10 ml will last a
    while
The not-so
good things about it:
  •   Tub packaging is unhygienic
  •  The fragrance might bother some people so I
suggest trying it out before you buy it.

 Final
verdict
… definitely worth trying. It might seem a little expensive but it is
totally worth every penny you spend and the quantity will last for a while so
it’s actually a good deal to invest in it rather than buying a cheaper lip balm
that don’t last on your lips for too long.
