Toni & Guy Prep Heat Protection Mist: Review

While I love styling my hair but considering I have very thin and frizzy hair, it is absolutely essential that I do everything to protect them from the damage caused by styling particularly heat based styling. One of my favorite styling product is a heat protect spray as I don’t feel guilty about making my hair go through the torture with a blow drier, hair straightener or a curling iron. The latest addition to my vanity is the Toni & Guy Prep Heat Protection Mist.

Price: Rs 750 for 150 ml

The heat protect mist comes in a white spray bottle with a lock mechanism that I absolutely adore because it is usually a pain to travel with spray bottles as there is a chance of leakage but with the lock mechanism, I am pretty stress free while carrying it around. The packaging in general is very sturdy, user-friendly and definitely travel friendly.

I have been using the product before any heat based styling I do on my hair and have absolutely loved the results. The heat protect mist is a light transparent liquid that has very pleasant floral fragrance. The product doesn’t weigh down my hair or make it look greasy, instead I noticed that my hair looked a bit shiny after applying the mist.

The product can be used on both wet and dry hair. I wouldn’t say that it completely protects your hair from damage but it does its fair share. It helps in giving a better and frizz free finish to my hair whenever I use it and to be honest this has become an indispensable part of my hair styling routine.

Overall, it is a pretty good product and does deliver results. I love the packaging and the best part is unlike other styling products that I have used, this doesn’t weigh down my hair or make them sticky. The only thing is that using a heat protect spray doesn’t mean that heat based styling will not damage your hair. This product is just a layer that prevents excessive damage so do not expect any miracles if you have already damaged your hair due to excessive styling.
